Check out this great tip from our fabulous Organization Ambassador Barbara Berman, and don't waste any more money on those containers you don't use!

So, you think you can't organize? Whenever I do a workshop, I am invariably asked if you have to be born with an organizing gene. My answer to that question is no, but I do think that all of us have gifts in different areas of life, and hence, we can all learn from each other.
One of the tips that I always give my clients, workshop attendees, or anyone else who has a question about organizing is NOT to buy any containers until you see what you need. Until you know what you are going to keep after sorting and purging (this includes donating, recycling, shredding), how would you know what size container to buy? You want to make sure it is the right size, right color, and will fit into the space where you’ve assigned these items. Invariably, you will even have containers leftover after you’ve gone through the sorting…

You may spend most of your day at work. And it does not matter whether you work at home or at an office. With so many pressures related to our jobs or businesses, it is easy to forget that work can be challenging to our mental and physical health. With a few small steps you can be healthy at work and healthier overall! Here is the first in a series of tips that will help you deal with the challenges of your work week.
Eat Breakfast!! - If you only eat ONE healthy meal…make it breakfast. A combination of complex carbohydrates, fiber, protein and healthy fat will get your day started on the right path.
Eat well - Eat foods that grow, walk or swim. It is that simple.
Be Mindful - Give your food your undivided attention. Don’t eat while you are reading the paper, sitting at your desk, driving to an appointment. Not only will the food actually be digested easier, but it will register in your brain that you have actually eaten.
Stay balanced - Eating a balanced diet will help you stay healthy, but it is more than that. It is everything that nourishes or depletes you. If you are nourished at the most Primary level with your career, your relationships, your hobbies and things that speak to your heart, then you will be healthy enough to run your business at the best of your capability
Breathe! - If we had to we could live weeks without food, days without water and only minutes without air. Take a breathing break with some exercises at your desk or step outside for some fresh air.
If you need some help clarifying your goals and how you can reach them while working everyday,…

Happy Mother's Day weekend!!
What are you doing this weekend to honor your Mother? There are a million and one reasons why moms are the best. They've sacrificed so much for us, are always there for us and are usually the first ones we go to when we need help or support. I thought I'd kick the weekend off with five reasons why I love my M-O-M-M-Y.
Please feel free to share your own!
Thanks, mom, for being the best mom in the world!
Love,
Sheri
Multi-talented - How many moms have a voice that rivals Adele's and acting talent that's landed her in commercials? My mom's many starring theatrical roles include Miss Hannigan and Bye Bye Birdie's Mama Mae Peterson. She still says that one day she wants to win an Academy Award, and I have no doubt that she will. Thanks, mom, for encouraging me to step out of my shy shell and jump into the spotlight every once in a while.
Omnipresent - I will never understand how my mom can be planning my wedding, hemming pants, talking to my brother on the phone, running a business, cooking dinner, cleaning the house AND shopping online simultaneously. She is always there, wherever "there" is.
glaMorous: I may have been the only junior high school girl who's mom told her she was "erasing" her lips when I would put Chapstick on instead of lipstick. To this day she is always "blinging" me up with fun tops, glitzy bracelets and of course the fabulous attitude that goes with embracing your femininity. Thanks, mom, for helping me make my natural style shine.
Magnificently understanding: My mom always says she's only as happy as her least happy child. Thanks, mom, for always empathizing with us and being supportive of all of our decisions - even the ones we make and change, and then change…

We recently had a death in our family. My sister-in-law, Sandy, lost her father. He was an energetic, happy, warm, care-free man. After the funeral she said something to me about her attitude about life. “It’s all about the dash”.
The “dash” is what separates your birth date and the day you die. Her father, Len, lived from 1926-2012. And during this time he served in the Marines, married the love of his life, had two wonderful daughters, was a role model to thousands of children through his work at a local school, brought happiness to the elderly as a hair stylist at local nursing homes and lived life to the fullest. Never seeming to have a care in the world, he retired to Florida where every day was Camp Len. He loved his life and made an impact on others along the way.
It’s all about the dash. What does your dash look like? Are you waiting for life to happen or are you making a difference along the way? Here are a few suggestions to help your dash be meaningful, impactful and full.

Five Questions for Quitting
by Kalpana Murthy, Psychotherapist, Genuine Connection, LLC
The phrase “winners never quit” is not true. In fact, the opposite is true. If you want to be mentally and physically healthy and achieve your vision for your life, you have to quit some things. You have stop investing time and mental energy on activities and relationships that make it harder for you to enjoy life or achieve your goals.
Often even if something is good, we need to let go of it in order to have some unscheduled time to relax, reflect, or do nothing. Letting go creates space for something new to come into our life. Saying “no” or “no more” to an activity or a relationship doesn’t necessarily mean the activity or relationship is bad or that you are rejecting someone; it simply means you are living in accordance with your priorities. As our life circumstances, interests, and values change, it’s smart, normal and essential for well-being to reevaluate how we invest ourselves. We have so many options and can’t do everything. So, we have to let go of things that drain us, distract us, or are not as productive or enjoyable.
However, changing our habits, saying “no” or ending a relationship is a struggle for many people. Here are five questions to help you…

Ok Mama...enough putting yourself last on your priority list. If you are feeling overloaded and exhausted from all you do to take care of everyone else, this is especially important. Many moms think they do not have time for self-care or see it as selfish, when in fact it is vital for everyone. If you fall apart, who is there? As moms we are the strongest role models for our children. They need to see us taking care of ourselves to know that it is essential for their own health. Here are five easy ways to start showing yourself a little self love.
Connect to your breath- Before you get out of bed, sit up, close your eyes and pay attention to your breath. Focus on slowing down the inhalation and exhalation. Breathe in gently for a count of five. Hold the breath for a count of five, and then slowly exhale for a count of five. Try it for five breath cycles. You can use this…

We are a mom and daughter on a mission: To create a ripple effect of health and happiness around the world…one woman at a time. We helped each other reach our health goals, and now have set out to empower other women to reach theirs. We started with a simple mission - to inspire 100 women to focus on their health and happiness, and ask each of them to pay it forward by inspiring another woman to do the same. A few short months after we started The 100 Women Project, we had hundreds of women in every state in the U.S. and in more than 20 countries around the world joining us!
We quickly realized that there was so much power not just in helping women ourselves, but in connecting women to help each other. When working with our clients, we often said, "if only Amanda in Portland knew Stacy in New York, they would love each other!" And so The 100 Women Project online virtual spa was born, as a way to connect all of the women we were helping.
We hope you take full advantage of this site. To get the most out of The 100 Women Project experience, we recommend:
1. Join our virtual online spa for FREE support from women around the world, tips from dozens of health and wellness experts, videos, recipes, motivation and more by clicking the "Sign Up" button to the right.
2. Enroll in the Signature 100 Women Project Health Makeover Program so you can lose weight and reach your health goals once and for all by scheduling your FREE health makeover session.
3. Once you're enrolled, check back daily for unlimited ongoing email health coaching support.
We are so glad you're joining us! Cheers to a FABULOUS 100 Women Project…

You are in the "sandwich" generation and taking care of everyone...BOTH your kids and your parents... Maybe you have aging parents who are in the process of moving to a retirement community or hiring nursing help...Maybe you yourself are aging and not sure what steps you need to take to prepare your family as you get older.
Organization is not just about clean closets (although being able to find our shoes is definitely part of it!) The statistics show that there are millions of you out there facing these life changes, and not many people have an organized plan in place as to how to handle it all. If you're one of these people, please take a moment to read today's post by our wonderful Organization Ambassador Barbara Berman. It is an important message, great advice and could make all of the difference.

As I write this article on preparing for the future, I can’t help but think how many of us are in a similar situation. I realize there are many things out of our control and that we should not even worry about them, but the one thing we can control is making sure we have all the information we need about our friends and family upon their deaths. …
